The high road

Someone connected to me on the internet surprised me with her drama. It seemed she was trying to draw imaginary lines in the sand to bolster her sense of being right. Opting for an easy jump to “I’m right” over entertaining the possibility that there were good intentions on the other side of her conclusion. I took a deep breath and made a decision to quickly disengage and take the high road. At that same moment, a random note of kindness from a Best Life Design member hit my inbox speaking of integrity and good will. Signed with “peace and respect and love”. Oh, the good stuff.  Like a gentle breeze against my face, the note reminded me that someone was watching the choices I make and how I live my life and it mattered. It always matters. Though you may never know (or if you’re lucky, perhaps you’ll be reminded right when you most need to hear it), there are those who are cheering you on – counting on you — to take the high road. I’m cheering you on! Receive it … and pass it on to a battered soul today.
